About us
FluIDect GmbH is a German technology company pioneering rapid, automated detection of biomolecules and microorganisms in complex liquid samples. The company’s core innovation is a compact, fully automated measurement system that enables real-time, contact-free monitoring directly at the point of need.
A key application is the detection of specific proteins and biomolecules in bioreactor processes, helping biopharma and biotech companies to closely monitor and control critical quality attributes during production. FluIDect’s solution allows fast quantification of target proteins such as growth factors, enzymes, or antibodies without the need for manual sampling or laboratory analysis.
This is made possible by the company’s proprietary Fluorescent Resonator Signature (FRS) technology, which uses freely floating, functionalized polymer microbeads that bind specifically to target molecules in the liquid sample. Optical detection is performed remotely and contact-free, enabling reliable, real-time insights into ongoing biochemical processes.
In addition to bioreactor monitoring, FluIDect also offers solutions for rapid microbial detection in water, supporting environmental monitoring and hygiene control in industries like food & beverage or healthcare.
At Analytica USA, FluIDect will present its latest platform for bioprocess monitoring and demonstrate real-world applications of its FRS-based detection technology.

SpheroScan Explorer
The SpheroScan Explorer can be used both in the laboratory and in a production environment. It thus bridges the gap from laboratory analysis to production measurement technology. Like all SpheroScan sensors, it uses µBeads as sensors that can move freely in the sample and “actively” search for their targets.
This eliminates the need for time-consuming sample preparation and reduces measurement time to a minimum. The SpheroScan Explorer is a semi-automatic device which is loaded manually. An extension for fully automatic measurement will be available soon.
Flexible
With manual loading and numerous measurement modes, it offers flexibility for exploratory investigation.
At-Line Measurement
The rugged design offers the possibility for use in the laboratory or even in a manufacturing environment.
Fast Results
Generates results within minutes, without time-consuming sample preparation. Real-time read-out enables closed-loop process control.
We support you in tailoring our products to your measuring needs.
SpheroScan Guard
[Comming soon] The SpheroScan Guard is a plug-and-play process measurement device for monitoring biological parameters. It is permanently integrated into the production plant and measures here fully automatically 24/7. Like all SpheroScan sensors, it uses µBeads as sensors that can move freely in the sample and “actively” search for their targets.
The SpheroScan Guard is a fully automatic device that independently draws and examines samples as required.
Fully automatic
Sampling and analysis are performed fully automatically > no staff is needed.
On-line measurement
The type and quantity of microbes can be determined directly in the production plant > no lab is needed.
Fast results
Real-time read-out enables closed-loop process control.
We support you in tailoring our products to your measuring needs.
OculusOrbit
OculusOrbit is the world's first laboratory shaker with an opening. It can be used to observe and analyze microtiter plates from below during the shaking process. This opens up completely new possibilities in laboratory automation, such as magnetic separation or observation. It can be mounted on existing analysis systems or microscopes.
